COOL KID

Animation that solely emerges from coded sine-curves.
Abstract

"Cool Kid" was a testing field for utilizing and manipulating sine curves to drive repeating animations. Through adding and multiplying values to the curve that initially oscillates between "0" and "1", different animation types and value ranges are achieved.

Final Animation

Automatic steering expressions

Expressions automatically align the steering to the path of the street. A non-destructive approach that allows to adjust the street on the fly without having to redo any animations.

Normal based path offset

The driving line of the bicycle is defined by the street path and added parallel offset values. This way, the street can be changed without having to adjust the drivers position
